Paul’s Letter to the Galatians is a bold defense of the true gospel – the good news that salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Paul wrote to a group of churches struggling with a dangerous distortion of the gospel: the idea that faith in Christ must be supplemented with works of the law. But Paul leaves no room for compromise. He calls his readers back to the freedom found only in Christ, warning that to rely on anything else is to fall into “slavery”. This CORE seminar will explore key themes such as justification by faith, the role of the law, the work of the Holy Spirit in sanctification, and what it means to live in true Christian freedom.
